In order to build a major political party, we need money and
therefore call on your generosity.
Alternative Libérale must be able to raise substantial funds to reach
its ambitious objectives.
Under the pretext of moralizing the financing of political parties,
the legislature has made it difficult for new parties to emerge since a
political party may only be financed by individuals or the State. State
funds are based on the number of votes and elected members obtained by a
party. In short, no votes/elected members, no state funds. As a
consequence, any new party can only rely on individuals' donations,
limited by law to 7,500 € per year maximum (amount however partially
deductible from income tax).
For the first two financial years, Alternative Libérale can only live
on members' contributions and revenues from events organized by the
party. Besides basic contributions, it is highly important for
Alternative Libérale to obtain substantial donations from great donators.
The launching of Alternative Libérale requires investing significant
sums of money, above all in equipment and IT solutions. After this
initial period, the current budget will be distributed over the various
work groups. Outside election campaigns, more money will be allocated to
the "Communication" and "Events" work groups, whereas costs related to
election campaigns will take precedence at election times.
Strict financial controls performed internally by members also
qualified auditors will ensure each work group uses its budget in
compliance with its assignment and applicable laws. Independent auditors
will check annual accounts, which will then be made available to all
members for transparency reasons.
In addition to financial means, Alternative Libérale rests on a high
and free involvement of most members. Our party leaders do not get any
remuneration or payment in kind whatever.
As a matter of fact, we are not granted any state subsidy, unlike
other political parties. Thus, we assure you our young party will make
the best use of each euro generously donated.
Obviously, you can help us financially now with your valuable
donation and adhere to our party in some future, should you prefer to
make such a decision at a later stage.
Please note that french residents will receive a receipt for tax
purposes, allowing you to deduct up to 66% of your donation from your
income tax!
